What is the CPS Test?
CPS stands for “clicks per second”. It is a clicking test to check how many clicks you can make in a second.
The users can set their preferred time interval to test their clicking ability.

A person’s CPS rate is the number of clicks that person can make in one second.
The CPS test is not an accurate measure of a person’s true CPS rate, as many factors can affect one’s score on the CPS test, such as internet speed and connection, computer type, etc.
Nevertheless, the CPS test is a fun way to see how fast you can click and compare your results to others.
How do I start with the CPS test?

- Step 2: Select your preferred time interval to test your clicking speed. We recommend using the “5-second test” for a quick and efficient check. However, feel free to choose your custom time interval.
- Step 3: Once you have selected the time interval. Jump the “Click to start” button to initiate your CPS Test.
- Step 4: Click as fast as possible to get a high CPS score and have fun.
- Step 5: You will get your scores at the end of the test. Just keep practicing to get better scores with time.
How Many Clicks Per Second Is Considered Fast?

How is the score calculated in the CPS?
The CPS test score is calculated by considering the number of clicks. The faster you click, the higher your CPS score would be.
There is an easy formula to calculate your CPS score i.e. CPS = (Number of clicks/ Number of Seconds).
However, you don’t have to go through all the trouble of calculating it manually. As you will automatically get your CPS scores at the end of your session.
How to Improve Clicks Per Second?
The easiest way to improve your speed is by learning faster clicking techniques. These methods help you click faster without using extra force.
- Jitter Clicking: This technique uses small wrist and arm vibrations to move your finger rapidly. Instead of pressing harder, you let the vibration do the work, which increases speed. It takes practice to control, but it can significantly boost CPS once mastered.
- Butterfly Clicking uses two fingers (usually index and middle) clicking alternately on the same mouse button. This allows you to click faster without tiring one finger. It works best with a mouse that supports light and responsive clicks.
- Drag Clicking works by lightly dragging your finger across the mouse button so friction triggers multiple clicks. This technique can produce very high CPS, but it requires good control to be effective.
Practice regularly for 5–10 minutes a day, keep your hand relaxed, and avoid forcing speed. With time and consistency, your clicks per second will naturally improve.
